About

Proustagram is, first and foremost, an Instagram account dedicated to Marcel Proust (1871–1922): extracts, analysis and correspondence, one photograph at a time.

‘Without formaldehyde, Proust is even madder!’ — the account’s motto sums up its aim: to experience Proust as a living figure, with his friends, his letters, his favourite places, and his contemporary readers, rather than to preserve him as a relic.
