Four titles published by @editions1018 in the 1990s

Translated from French.

4 titles published by @editions1018 in the 1990s ✨🙌🏻✨

— “Reading Days”, which contains a large number of articles, literary studies and reading notes;

— “Écrits mondains”, which brings together the “Salons”, the pastiches centred on the Lemoine affair, “Pleasures and Days” (1896), poems, “La mort des cathédrales” and “Figures”;

— “Correspondence with Mrs Straus” (aka Geneviève Halévy), cousin of Daniel Halévy and mother of Jacques Bizet (classmates of Proust’s at the Lycée Condorcet), widow of Georges Bizet, and one of Proust’s closest friends;

— “Correspondence with her mother”, also known as Jeanne Weil, whose memory is primarily portrayed through the character of the grandmother in the first three volumes of the novel.

I’m not sure if @editions1018 still publishes these titles. 🤷🏻‍♂️ I bought them around 2001, when I first read “In Search of Lost Time” in its entirety, and I’ve hardly looked at them… until now. 🤓📚

    I completely missed those publications – I’ve almost exclusively got recent ones… I know the complete correspondence is due to be published or is already available, but it costs 500 euros! I’m not sure what to make of it…

    Her correspondence with her mother has recently been republished by 10/18! And thank you for pointing out the others – I hope they’re still available :)
